Young Leader Team Member (Trainer)

We require additional support with delivering the training modules which support our young leaders to help with Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts across the district. You will be required to periodically run sessions on each of the young leader modules to support the young leaders in their leadership roles.

Responsible to:  Young Leader Team Leader, 14-24 Team Leader

Key Tasks:

  • Plan and deliver the sessions on each of the modules A-J in the Young Leader training scheme

Time Commitment:

  • Most modules take between 1 hour to 1.5 hours to deliver, we aim to try and deliver each module at least once a year. By having a team of volunteers in this role, we hope to be able to keep your volunteering to less than 10 hours per year!

Required Qualifications:

  • To complete all mandatory training for the scout association in accordance with Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) - Essential Information, Safety, Safeguarding, First Response and GDPR
  • Hold a valid Scouting DBS

All these qualifications can be achieved after taking on the role. Training and support will be given to help you to achieve this.
