The one annual event that we expect every young person and volunteer in the group to attend; to pay our respects and remember those who gave their lives in the line of duty.
The parade is full uniform – ironed and properly rolled scarves with woggles (no knots), scout shirts, scout trousers (navy blue activity trousers) and formal shoes, no trainers.
The parade begins behind the Braintree District Council offices (Causeway House). Arrival time of 1:30pm prompt please so we can line up and be ready to parade shortly after. Please wear additional layers under your uniform (in case it is cold) and have a hot meal before you come. Gloves and hat can be worn if cold, please ensure they are plain black or navy blue.
We then march to the public gardens for a short service, before parading back through town. We expect to finish around 3:00pm in St. Michaels Lane.
